Rita is feisty, brash and ‘in yer face’. Frank’s a stuffy, boring academic who gets more than he bargained for when Rita walks into his stale, alcohol-imbued life.

As afraid of change as Rita is of things staying the same, Frank feels he’s bitten off more than he can chew with his latest Open University pupil. Wrenched out of his comfort zone by her honesty and directness, Frank begins to feel he’s learning more from Rita than he’s teaching her.
