Make Possible

The word axiom traces its routes to meaning ‘being in balance’. It was this balance that delivered our key brand driver; Make Possible.

Axiom’s business is split between simply manufacturing customer’s designs (make) to working closely with designers, inventors, and engineers to imagine and deliver ideas at scale (possible). This emphasis on creative engineering is seen as a key advantage over the competition and was the launchpad for our thinking. It also speaks positively to a culture of inventive thinking ingrained through the business.

BRAND PLATFORM

Defining the Axiom Advantage

From the outset, it was really clear that the quality, capability and passion of the Axiom team weren’t fully reflected in the way their brand was presented. Together, our approach started with uncovering what makes Axiom unique: its ingenuity, creativity and ability to bring imaginative new ideas to solve complex problems. Working closely with the leadership team and Working Word PR, we defined a reimagined brand as transformational leaders in electronic manufacturing, setting the course for Axiom’s next chapter.

The binding element

In production, components are placed on a backing board before passing through a liquid solder bath to create a bind and circuit. Inspired by this solder/fusion idea — a common binding element — the Axiom abstract brand imagery plays an integral role throughout the identity. It brings a modern sense of fluidity and calm energy to the brand.

IDEAS AT SCALE

We wanted to create a seamless user journey, framing Axiom with a balance of simplicity underscored by accomplished and leading-edge technical expertise. We created a clear navigational structure, allowing users to quickly see Axiom’s scale, range and broad capability. Axiom has built a reputation as a well-respected team of influential experts; a driving force of credibility, so we wanted to better highlight them on the new platform.

The new design system is highly flexible, allowing for a rich variety of page layouts; creating an elegant and intuitive user experience whilst also giving the internal team the ability to create content through the intuitive open-source CMS platform.

Focusing on tight navigation, sharp search and best-practice editorial principles to ensure the website delivers upon Axion’s position as the undisputed leader of electronic manufacturing in the UK and beyond.

Crucially the new site builds the narrative around the facility’s leading bespoke multi-sector solutions, made within their state-of-the-art site in South Wales. With a refreshed brand, Axiom can proudly centre its teams of experts, together with the values that unite them, delivering the Axiom Advantage.
